Volunteering at the festival

our kitchen

So, you’d like to volunteer?

That’s great. We always have such a nice crew of volunteers making food for the rest of the gathering.

The first thing we need to know is: are you serious about coming to volunteer?

If you commit to volunteer at the festival we need to know for sure that you won’t change your mind because you get a new job/romance/religion etc

Secondly, we need to know that you can come a day early on Thursday 16th July and stay until the morning of Monday 27th July to help clean up.

What do volunteers do at the festival?

Most likely you’ll be helping prepare one meal a day in the kitchen or the chai tent. This involves:

  • cutting vegetables
  • washing the pots
  • chatting and having fun

On the first day, Friday 19th July, all the volunteers will be helping out, getting dinner ready, welcoming people as they arrive and explaining how the camp works.

After that you’ll be working in the kitchen for one shift each day (lunch or dinner) so you can take part in half the workshops that day.

And you’ll also have at least 1 free day  to just enjoy the festival!

On Sunday 26th July we’ll all help clear up the site – we should be done by midday on Monday the 29th.

You need to bring your own tent and bowl, spoon and cup 🙂

All the food and tea is included.

Note: it’s a festival without alcohol or drugs or dogs 🙂

Festival deposit

It’s free to volunteer on the festival but because year after year people promise to come to volunteer and then change their minds at the last minute, we’re now taking a 100 euro deposit. This can be made by bank transfer and it will be sent back to you in the week after the festival.
